Mr. Russell Choudhry from Only One Property Services provided a witness statement to the police confirming that he and Mr Muhammed Islam pictured on the left gave Cllr Joseph £200 cash.
What happened to the cash ? The cheques made their way to the Town Hall, but the CASH did not ? What happened to it ?

YOU DECIDE ! Cllr Joseph admits receiving £200 cash. She had a duty and responsibility to take care of the cash, as she clearly did with the cheques. It is extraordinary and rather suspicious that the cheques made it to the Town Hall but the cash did not !! ?
On Monday 14th May 2007, Cllr Joseph attended the premises of Food For Thought at 15 High Road, Willesden NW10. The proprietor and her husband Mrs. Lou Paludetto made a small donation of £130 by cheque made payable to the “Mayor’s Charity Committee May 2006/May2007”. Their neighbour from Empire Estate Agents next door, a Ms. G. Wheeler popped in and made a personal donation of £100 also made payable my cheque to the Mayors Charity Committee. Mr. Muhammed Islam from Only One Property Services, also popped in. Mr. Islam did not have his cheque book to hand and wanted to also make a donation. He popped into a brown envelope £200 cash and attached his business cards to the top of the envelopes. The cheques were handed in to the Town Hall but the cash was not !! See all 3 pictures. Cllr Joseph poses with the people who handed her cheques and the persons who handed her the cash. She cannot remember what happened to the cash !!!

Bertha receives the most free gifts worth over £2500 - see below
Bertha agrees to observe the Council rules by declaring gifts, but clearly does not. Unbelievable that she should accept £900 worth of free clothing so she could "look good" during her Mayoral year. What ever happened to charity shops. No other Brent Mayor in living memory has accepted free clothing or had £1200 FREE photography paid for by a donor. It is the equivalent of married couples having their official wedding photographs paid for free and we all know this does not happen. SHAME ..SHAME...SHAME...

Chair of the Parish Council
See bottom left hand corner - Bertha Joseph was appointed by the Parish Priest without any democratic election, Chair of the Parish Council. Since the recent relevations many parishioners are un-happy that she remains in post. BUT just because she had her civic service and attended Christmas mass their wearing her Mayoral chain and outfit this brought publicity to the Church and their is some reluctance by those in charge to ask her to stand down. Many argue that Bertha is just networking.

Bertha in trouble - she did not get Council permission to wear Mayoral chain
Bertha was given a free £400 ticket to attend these awards. She was NOT officially invited and therefore did not have Council permission to wear the official gold Mayoral chain worth thousands of pounds. She wore it regardless to show off !!! - see article below what Willesden and Brent Times had to say about it. She also did not declare the gift.

Letter from local resident about Bertha bringing the church into disrepute
How disappointing to learn that Brent's former Mayor, Cllr Bertha Joseph has been labelled a mistress. It was unfortunate that she made a mockery of the sacrament of marriage by her own divorce and whilst I do not wish to judge her circumstances she should have known better to have carried on with such an affair, apparently oblivious to the circumstances. As a fellow Christian and a Parishioner of the same Church I was even more disappointed that Ms. Joseph saw fit to introduce Sir Clive to our church during her civic service, at a time when he was technically an adulterer. Sadly Cllr Joseph has fallen well below the high standards we can expect from high office - twice Brent's 1st Citizen. She has let herself and the church down and incredibly continues to accept Holy communion (the blessed Eucharist) which many years ago was forbidden if you were divorced, let alone having an affair. She is clearly not the devout Catholic that everyone thinks she is. Her officials will cry "it is a private matter". I disagree. When you are elected into public office you have no private life and private life does not mean sleeping behind your wife's back. However the Church should not play God in denying any sinner, in this case the divorced or a mistress of Holy Communion. Jesus himself has taught us that there is no sin that cannot be forgiven when he said “let the man who has not sinned cast the first stone”. He himself forgave all kinds of sinners including tax collectors, prostitutes, adulterers and even murderers. So we must not be too judgemental, as the saying goes, "she knows not what she does". We must pray for Cllr Joseph and the Lloyd family for the pain and heartache this sorrow affair has caused so many.
